Statement by the Coalition for the Elimination of Imperialism in Africa regarding the imperialist aggression against the Republic of Mali on April 25th, 2026
The Coalition for the Elimination of Imperialism in Africa (CEIA) strongly condemns the barbaric aggression by an alliance of NATO-backed terrorist groups against the Republic of Mali in the early morning of April 25, 2026.
In one of the largest coordinated attacks against Mali in recent years, seven cities across the country were targeted by terrorist groups including the capital Bamako and the garrison city of Kati. The simultaneity of the attacks, the targets, as well as the weapons and logistics of this operation demonstrates that this was a decapitation strike with the aim of overthrowing the government of Assimi Goita and putting an end to the Malian revolution.
Although JNIM and the FLA (Azawad Liberation Front) have claimed responsibility for these barbaric attacks against the Republic of Mali, conscious Africans recognize that both these terrorist groups are imperialist footsoldiers whose purpose is to maintain the region in a state of perpetual instability. The framing, by Western media, of these attackers as “jihadists” and “islamists” demonstrates the instrumentalization of Islam in order to hide the real culprits. The reality is that imperialist nations, such as the United States and France, manufacture and utilize terrorism as a means to undermine African sovereignty and ensure their continued exploitation of our natural resources.
Mali, conscious of this reality, has spent the last few years developing its military capacity and building one of the strongest armies on the continent. That is why despite the intensity of this multi-front attack, the Malian armed forces were able to quickly regain control of the situation and neutralize hundreds of terrorists. We salute the bravery, determination and professionalism of the Malian armed forces and the valiant Malian people who stood alongside their army during these difficult times.
We call on all Pan-Africanist forces and all conscious Africans to intensify their efforts to defend Mali and the AES Confederation. The Black Winter that Captain Traore warned us about is indeed here and our enemies have declared an unrelenting war against the sovereign project initiated by the AES under the leadership of Mali. More than ever, it is imperative that every single African across this planet be a member of an anti-imperialist organisation fighting for the total liberation of our continent. Africa is at war and we all must mobilize to defend her.
Mali shall never bend!
Long live the AES Confederation!
Forward to the completion of the African revolution!
